About the Craftsman

Billy Rudy is a professional wood craftsman, with over 28 years of experience. After years of building curved stairways, custom cabinetry, special design mantels and doing millwork for the construction industry, his passion for building fine wood furnishings grew. He began making custom solid wood furnishings for friends and family. Billy became known for his fine craftsmanship, design expertise and attention to detail, his business grew.

In 2009, he opened a showroom and retail shop, “If It’s Wood and More”, in Historic Urbanna, Virginia, showcasing many pieces of individually handcrafted solid wood furnishings and accessories. Each piece is unique; no two pieces are exactly alike. He specializes in creating the designs of his customers. Anything from cutting boards, hanging jewelry boxes, custom wine cellars, accent tables, bookcases, buffets, mantels, box newel posts, hutches and armoires…you name it.
